Velos Rotors recently supported an environmental monitoring operation conducted in collaboration with the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. During the mission, a Velos V3 unmanned helicopter equipped with Aeromon’s precision air quality sensors and the Gremsy VIO F1 thermal camera collected accurate, high-resolution environmental data in real time, providing operators with valuable insights into air quality conditions across the monitored area. The operation demonstrated the platform’s ability to perform complex monitoring tasks during both daytime and nighttime operations, even under harsh weather conditions.

The mission further highlighted the Velos V3’s suitability for environmental inspection and aerial emissions monitoring applications across the maritime, industrial, and energy sectors. Engineered for precision and reliability, the platform combines advanced sensor integration, thermal imaging capabilities, and a multi-screen ground control system that enables operators to monitor sensor outputs, mission-critical information, and real-time aircraft diagnostics simultaneously. This seamless data integration supports regulatory compliance, sustainability reporting, and data-driven decision-making, further reinforcing the Velos V3’s position as a trusted solution for advanced environmental monitoring and emissions inspection missions.
