Velos Rotors contributed to a BVLOS railway inspection deployment in Austria, where the Velos V3 was equipped with a RIEGL LiDAR payload to support the digital inspection of railway infrastructure. During the deployment, the fully electric Velos V3 successfully conducted inspection flights in demanding winter conditions, including snow and low temperatures, demonstrating the ability of unmanned helicopter systems to support reliable infrastructure inspection missions. The project highlighted the growing role of UAV technology in supporting the digitalization, automation, and predictive maintenance of critical railway infrastructure.
