Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Business Development to lead strategic planning and execution of initiatives that drive company growth and expansion within the aviation industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, fostering partnerships, and overseeing revenue growth efforts. This position requires travel up to 35% to 70% of the time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures that align with the company’s overall strategic goals and objectives
• Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, partnerships, and potential markets within the aviation industry
• Collaborate with the CEO to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and partners
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and relevant regulations
• Oversee business development initiatives to optimize profitability and long-term success 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, aviation, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
• Prior commercial drone sales experience required
• Proven track record of success in a senior business development or similar leadership role within the aviation industry
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities
• Ability to work remotely and travel up to 35% to 70% of the time
• In-depth knowledge of business operations, financial management, and market trends within the aviation industry
• Experience in a highly regulated industry preferred
