Reports To: Director of Flight Operations

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced UAS Pilot to join our team in Hollywood, MD. The UAS Pilot will be responsible for conducting safe and efficient flight operations for our unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), supporting various missions and projects. The ideal candidate will have experience operating UAS in a variety of environments and situations, and will be able to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct safe and efficient UAS flight operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to plan and execute UAS missions in support of various projects and clients
• Perform pre-flight checks and inspections on UAS and associated equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Conduct post-flight data analysis and reporting, including visual and data interpretation, and assist with project deliverables as needed
• Maintain accurate flight logs and documentation for all UAS operations
• Participate in training and certification programs to maintain and improve UAS operational skills and knowledge
• Maintain a high level of situational awareness during flight operations, and respond appropriately to any unforeseen circumstances or challenges that may arise

Requirements:

• FAA Part 107 certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in aviation, engineering, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience operating UAS in a variety of environments and situations
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems as they arise
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project objectives
• Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and records
• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and physical environments
